Waverly PD holds First Impact
On Thursday evening, March 5, the Waverly Police Department hosted their second First Impact program at Waverly City Hall. Auditor releases monthly reports on municipalities, special district financial information
On March 6, Missouri State Auditor Scott Fitzpatrick issued monthly reports detailing the compliance of municipalities and other political subdivisions with financial reporting laws.

Register beginning March 16 for Callery Pear buyback
Have invasive Callery (Bradford) pear trees? Cut them down and get a free native tree! The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) is partnering with the Missouri Invasive Plant Council (MoIP), the Missouri Community Forestry Council, Magnificent Missouri, Forrest Keeling Nursery, Forest ReLeaf of Missouri, and the Missouri Prairie Foundation to host the 2026 Callery Pear Buyback Program in locations around the state.
Harm reduction vending machine now available at Waverly clinic
HCC Network now has a harm reduction vending machine outside the Waverly clinic.
Striping of Hwy 65 to begin on March 16
Capital Paving and Construction, LLC working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, began a resurfacing project on U.S. Route 65 in Carroll and Livingston counties in April 2025. To complete the project, the contractor will be striping Route 65 from U.S. Route 36 in Chillicothe to north of County Road 368, north of Waverly, beginning Monday, March 16.

Dr. Andy Horine participates in White House roundtable on rural health
Dr. Andy Horine, a lifelong Carrollton resident and a physician at Carroll County Memorial Hospital, was invited to Washington, D.C., in mid-January to participate in a White House roundtable discussion focused on rural health care challenges and policy solutions.
