City of Waverly receives Blue Shield designation
On March 27, the City of Waverly announced that the Missouri Department of Public Safety has awarded Missouri Blue Shield designation to the city for 2026. This honor recognizes Missouri communities that demonstrate their commitment to enhancing public safety, investing in and supporting law enforcement and building partnerships between law enforcement and our community.

Santa Fe R-X holds Town Hall
On Tuesday, March 24, approximately 150 people filled the Greg Prather Gymnasium at Santa Fe High School to learn more about the challenges facing Santa Fe, Lexington, Higginsville and other rural school districts across Missouri.
Fitzgibbon Health Fair planned for April 24
Pre-registration is now open for Fitzgibbon Hospital's annual Health Fair. The event will be held on Friday, April 24, from 7 - 10 a.m. at Fitzgibbon Hospital (2305 S. Hwy 65, Marshall). To save time, guests can register online at www.fitzgibbon. org/fair. Pre-registrations will be accepted until Sunday, April 19. Pre-registration is not required to participate. Free services/screenings planned for the event include: Skin cancer screenings (exposed skin only) provided by Boone Hospital. Carroll County Memorial Hospital has issued a warning to the public regarding phone scams involving individuals fraudulently impersonating the hospital.

Carroll County Memorial Hospital’s Outpatient Rehabilitation Services department has been named a 2025 Human Experience (HX) Guardian of Excellence Award winner by Press Ganey, the global leaders in healthcare experience solutions and services.
