Lexington boys fall to league leading Higginsville
The Lexington Minutemen Boys Basketball Team hung close for a good part of the night, but the Higginsville Huskers, who led almost all of the way, pulled away for a 65 to 45 win, a week ago Tuesday in the Higginsville gymnasium, to keep their undefeated conference record in tact.
Minutewomen lose heart breaker to Richmond
The Lexington Minutewomen Girls Basketball Team played hard, and they played strong defense, but Richmond guard Ella Steele hat a jump shot with about 25 seconds left to spoil the evening, as the Lady Spartans pulled out a 39 to 37 win over the Lexington Girls in front of a large crowd from both towns on Courtwarming night last Friday in Richmond.
District hoop tourney next week
The Lexington Girls and Boys Basketball Teams will be competing next week in the Class 3 District 14 Tournament that will be played at Lone Jack High School.
Traffic safety program to be offered
First Impact, a program offered by ThinkFirst Missouri, is a traffic safety program that educates parents about Missouri’s Graduated Driver License (GDL) law as well as provides them with the tools they need to monitor, coach and support their new teen driver.

Richmond shoots lights out in win over Minutemen
The Richmond Spartans Boys Basketball Team quite honestly put on an awesome display of outside shooting, as they nailed 12 three pointers, with many of them coming from well beyond the arc, and they topped the Lexington Minutemen 74 to 54 on Courtwarming Night last Friday evening in Richmond.

Girls place fourth in district, qualify three for state tourney
The Lexington Minutewomen Girls Wrestling Team had a good weekend, as they placed fourth as a team, in the large Class 1 District Tournament at Kearney, that featured numerous larger schools, while three individual wrestlers placed in the top four in their individual weight class, and qualified for the State Wrestling Tournament that will be held on February 26 and 27 at Mizzou Arena in Columbia.
Dining with Diabetes class offered
The University of Missouri Extension (MU Extension) is offering a healthy cooking class for individuals with diabetes, Dining with Diabetes.
