Chiefs baseball picks up first win of the season

The Santa Fe - with Norbourne Chiefs took on a tough Cole Camp baseball squad on Friday, the 23rd of March. Freshman Korben Dierking took to the mound first in this one, going three innings and allowing just one run. Four other SFHS hurlers saw action as well, but Cole Camp’s bats were active, producing 9 hits on the day, and coaxing 9 free passes as well. Thad Hopkins, and Wyatt Aversman had the only two hits for SFHS, who lost the contest 12-2.

Santa Fe FFA teaches TL elementary students as part of Ag Ed on the Move

Third graders across Missouri are discovering how their lives are intertwined with agriculture through Missouri Farmers Care’s Agriculture Education on the Move™ (Ag Moves) this spring. Santa Fe FFA member educators are leading Trinity Lutheran elementary students through the 10-lesson Ag Moves experience to help them make connections to their food, fuel and farmers.

Fitzgibbon Health Fair planned for April 24

Pre-registration is now open for Fitzgibbon Hospital's annual Health Fair. The event will be held on Friday, April 24, from 7 - 10 a.m. at Fitzgibbon Hospital (2305 S. Hwy 65, Marshall). To save time, guests can register online at www.fitzgibbon. org/fair. Pre-registrations will be accepted until Sunday, April 19. Pre-registration is not required to participate. Free services/screenings planned for the event include: • Skin cancer screenings (exposed skin only) provided by Boone Hospital. Please wear shorts and loose clothing, no makeup, keep hair loose and make note of any spots of concern to point out during the exam. • Osteoporosis screening with Miles Romney, P.A.
