Brown officially confirmed as County Commissioner
Michael Brown of Concordia has been officially confirmed as the Southern District Commissioner for Lafayette County, completing the formal appointment process required by the State of Missouri.
Rodekohr named to Dean’s List
Sonya Lee Rodekohr of Lexington has been named to the Dean’s List at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for the fall semester of the 2025-26 academic year.

Parade marks 30 years
Taffy Morgan was one of several people who helped get the St. Patrick’s Day Parade off the ground in 1996. Riley’s Irish Pub — owned by Forrest Riley and managed by his niece Taffy — along with the Brass Eagle Supper Club owned by David Goodloe and Jim Bertz came up with plans for the parade, which remain basically the same to this day.

Food drive
The Fairview 4-H Club had their monthly meeting on February 2. Morgan Nuelle offered a presentation on dental health. The club also held a canned food drive for the Lexington Food Pantry.

First Impact Event coming to Lexington
First Impact, a program offered by Think-First Missouri, is a traffic safety program that educates parents about Missouri’s Graduated Driver License (GDL) law as well as provides them with the tools they need to monitor, coach and support their new teen driver.
